About Me
I am Ozan Akyol. I work in the field of intelligence, security analysis, and OSINT, with a background that combines both technical capability and field-level experience. Over the years, I have supported government institutions, law-enforcement units, diplomatic missions, and private organizations across Türkiye and Europe. My focus has always been on understanding how information—whether gathered in the field, online, or through digital systems—can be transformed into actionable intelligence. Much of my work has revolved around border security, counter-terrorism support, political risk monitoring, financial crime investigations, and threat analysis. I’ve been involved in operations that required collecting signals from open sources, monitoring online activities, identifying digital traces, analysing satellite and social media data, and connecting technical findings with real-world events. I approach intelligence as a combination of context, verification, and timing—knowing what is relevant, what is noise, and what must be acted on.
I am now based in Vienna, where I run Secnetic GmbH, while also operating companies in Türkiye and the United States. Through these platforms, I work with institutional partners in different regions on intelligence projects, monitoring operations, and security-related assessments. Although I come from a cybersecurity background, my main focus today is intelligence production—collecting information, interpreting it, and turning it into insights that can support decision-makers. My work includes counter-terrorism monitoring, dark-web analysis, election-period intelligence support, and surveillance-related assessments conducted for public institutions.
My experience also includes large international structures. For several years, I have worked with diplomatic missions across 12 countries and 71 offices, supporting their security programs, operational assessments, and intelligence-aligned workflows. These environments required a strong understanding of sensitive information handling and responsibility at a classification-equivalent level (CAT II).
Today, my interest is in how modern technologies—data flows, digital footprints, open-source information, and behavioural indicators—can be integrated into intelligence operations. I follow conflicts, geopolitical developments, social trends, and online ecosystems to identify patterns and risks long before they appear on the surface.
Areas I work in:
– OSINT & intelligence collection
– Geopolitical and security analysis
– Counter-terrorism support
– Digital and open-source investigations
– Threat identification and reporting
– Political risk and influence monitoring
– Field-linked intelligence assessments
This website is my independent space to publish analysis, reports, and observations on intelligence, security, and global developments. In addition to sharing my work publicly, I also provide selected reports and intelligence products to institutions and organizations through this platform.
